Biography:
Steve has over 25 years of experience helping San Antonio families and business. After graduating 4th in his law school class at St. Mary's Law School, Steve was selected to work as a briefing attorney for the 4th Court of Appeals in San Antonio. Prior to joining the Malaise law firm, Steve was a partner in Waitz, Greer and Cennamo, P.C. and Warncke, Miller and Greer, LLP and has owned and operated his own firm since 1994 where he predominately represented individuals in Chapter 7 & 13 cases and businesses in Chapter 11 reorganizations. Steve also has extensive experience in litigation, particularly in bankruptcy court, where he has litigated objections to exemptions, discharge and discharge ability of debts and tax liability. In one case he reduced a doctor's tax liability in Bankruptcy Court from over $600,000 to $300,000 in litigation with IRS. He brings a wealth of knowledge to the Malaise Law firm.
Steve has been active as an adult leader in the Boy Scouts and a leader in the Knights of Columbus at St. Marks the Evangelist Catholic Church. Steve also supports the Multiple Sclerosis Society and is a rider and a Top 100 fundraiser for the MS Ride to the River. Steve is a Life Member of the Philmont Staff Association. Steve is married and is the father of 2 boys who he has had the pleasure of coaching in CYO sports.
