I was born and raised in San Antonio, and graduated from high school in 1987. Immediately thereafter, I entered college and obtained a degree in Economics with the intent to enter law school. Shortly after becoming an attorney, I was presented with an opportunity to engage the practice of bankruptcy, a life event I have long since appreciated.

For the last ten years I have practiced full-time as a consumer bankruptcy attorney, and during that time period I have counseled thousands of individuals and businesses concerning their rights and duties under the bankruptcy laws. This area of expertise has enabled me to focus exclusively on the needs of debtors facing what is usually characterized as a life changing experience, one which I can frequently re-direct in a positive fashion.

In 2005, I was certified by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization in Consumer Bankruptcy Law, which is the State Bar’s method by which to recognize those lawyers who have achieved a special level of competence in their field. It remains my goal to give anyone, who seeks help from the burden of debt he or she cannot pay, the compassionate advice such a person needs and deserves.
