Mr. Malaise founded Malaise Law Firm upon graduating from law school in 1996. The firm consists of seven attorneys and 30 staff members. Though managing the largest consumer bankruptcy law firm in Central and South Texas keeps him busy, Mr. Malaise actively manages his own docket of cases. He’s also involved in the firm’s more complex cases, and he has appeared before the United States Supreme Court. He appealed a Fifth Circuit’s 3-0 ruling against his one of his clients. The U.S. Supreme Court ruled (9-0) in his favor and reversed the Fifth Circuit’s ruling. Mr. Malaise is a frequent guest on television talk shows and regularly provides solicited commentary to news organizations.
